\nFollowing the Master along the paths of Galilee\u2026<\/p>\n

The desert is not just a place to go.<\/p>\n

It is an inner space where we learn to listen.<\/p>\n

In the silence, our certainties begin to crumble.<\/p>\n

In the silence, our resistances emerge.<\/p>\n

In the silence, the Father\u2019s gentle voice is also revealed. Jesus did not go to the desert to do things.
\nHe went to be present.
\nHe went to listen.<\/p>\n

He went to allow the Spirit to order his heart before beginning his mission.<\/p>\n

Contemplation is not escapism.<\/p>\n

It is availability.<\/p>\n

It is learning to stay.<\/p>\n

Not to flee.<\/p>\n

Not to fill the void with unnecessary words.<\/p>\n

Let us enter.<\/p>\n

LISTENING IN THE DESERT<\/p>\n

Enter slowly.<\/p>\n

Don’t bring speeches,
\ndon’t bring certainties,
\ndon’t bring noise.<\/p>\n

Here the wind disarms words
\nand the sand covers masks.<\/p>\n

To listen
\nis to stay
\nwhen everything invites you to flee.<\/p>\n

To listen
\nis to accept your own poverty
\nwithout masking it with spirituality.<\/p>\n

\nit whispers.<\/p>\n

Speak where it hurts.
\nSpeak where you fear.
\nSpeak where you are not yet willing to surrender.<\/p>\n
